Felt Food

Spring arrived just a few weeks ago and my insane list of crafting projects has almost been completed!! Including this adorable felt food that I am just in love with.

Prior to crafting, I fell down an insane Pinterest and Instagram rabbit hole. You wouldn't believe the adorable felt creations out there.

Now the crafting of these foods took some time. I imagine it would have gone a lot faster if I knew how to use a sewing machine, but I already had embroidery thread on had anyways so there you go.

To make them, I used felt, plastic grocery bags for stuffing, and cereal boxes for the items that needed structure (e.g. the sides and bottom of the cake). They were so inexpensive! No patterns needed, I just drew and cut about the size and shapes I wanted and sewed!

The kids have had fun with them and I even caught our kitten chasing a strawberry around the house (which is why it is now missing).
